History

Formations arising from movement or gatherings of people also became a specific 'architectural' form'. A typical example would be masked processions, masquerades, sword fighting or even knightly tournaments linked with allegorically decorated mansion stages. Royal processions as well as other street 'choreography' with a distinctly fixed course and a clear hierarchy in terms of the statute of the participating persons were also of note.
