A new Renaissance building from the second half of 19 century (1872) as a centre of club life in Brno had the purpose of intergrating Czech community into German society living in the city. Leos Janáček here acted as a virtuoso pianist and a conductor. There were world´s premieres of his composition here. Classical operetta in Brno were first performed in Brno at Town Theatre on 11.6.1859, and at Czech professional level until in 1874 in Besedni house.
