stage machinery

Typ: Stage machinery
Periode: 1833

Geschichte

Simple stage machinery enabled a scenery exchange on an open stage. There are cylinders located above the stage, on which backdrops and curtain were rolled. Scenery flats, always in triads, were manually replaced by motion in grooves on the floor and ceiling (the so called Groove system or English system).
