Merlin Theatre can be found in the city center on the courtyard of the former town hall. The house was built at the beginning of the 20^th century by the plan of Virgil Borbíró. The theatre consist of a barrel-vaulted and a gabled roof mass and shows the characteristics of art deco style. The other wing is articulated by four opening axes. The centre mass has two-storey-high circular ended windows.

The venue is used as both a theatre and a cultural centre, with 140 rows of seats. On the first floor a restaurant and a studio theatre are located. This is generally used for  guest performances, discussions, presentation evenings and concerts.
