Merlin Theatre can be found in the city center on the courtyard of the former town hall. The house was built at the beginning of the 20th century by the plan of Virgil Borbíró. The theatre consist of a barrel-vaulted and a gabled roof mass and shows the characteristics of art deco style. The other wing is articulated by four opening axes. The centre mass has two-storey-high circular ended windows.

The venue is used as both a theatre and a cultural centre, with 140 rows of seats. On the first floor a restaurant and a studio theatre are located. This is generally used for  guest performances, discussions, presentation evenings and concerts.
