The painted curtain was created in 1864 by Ludwig Grönfeld (landscape) and Friedrich Schilcher (figures). It depicts a scene from „The Magic Flute“, adding some historic personalities later connected with the „Theater an der Wien“, as e.g. the dramatists Nestroy and Raimund.
