This Theatre was called "Theatre of Nationalities", but today its "Albanian Theatre".
Numerous cultural and educational buildings were built in all regional centres of Yugoslavia to foster a feeling of solidarity with the common State of Yugoslavia. In Skopje, reconstruction work after the destruction of the earthquake in 1963 squeezed all these buildings into a very narrow time frame and thereby also gave them the architectural atmosphere of a single decade: today its known as expressive Monumentalism.
