History
The Brazilian National Theatre is in the shape of truncated pyramid. The influence of Aztec architecture can be spotted in the design. Both the eastern and western walls of the theatre are built from glazed window panes while the southern and northern are decorated with white squares and cubes of various shape variations. The theatre was originally designed as an exhibition space, with three halls coming into being at a later point, designated first and foremost for concert performances.
