The time is passing by, the theatre leaves
Opening of the exhibition was accompanied by symposium called Przemijają lata, zostają teatry (‘The time is passing by, the theatre leaves’) dedicated to theatre and technology. At the symposium appeared:
Jerzy Gumiński – engineer, author of designs for theatre fittings and technology, founder of ‘Przedsiębiorstwo Specjalistyczne TEATR’ (‘Specialized Enterprise THEATRE’), author of first Polish book about theatre technology Porozmawiajmy o technologii teatru (‘Let’s talk about theatre technology’)
Patryk Kencki – Doctor of Liberal Arts in Arts; adjunct in the Department of History and Theory of Theatre at the Institute of Art of the Polish Academy of Sciences and secretary of editorial section of ‘Pamiętnik Teatralny’ (‘Theatre Diary’), lecturer at The Aleksander Zelwerowicz State Theatre Academy
Piotr Morawski – culturologist by education, reviewer and books editor; author of scientific and scientific for the general public works; secretary of editorial section of ‘Dialog, monthly magazine dedicated to contemporary dramatic works: theatre, film, radio, television’; one of the curators of ‘Beyond Everydayness. Theatre Architecture in Central Europe’ exhibition
Among the invited guests, at the exhibition, among others, appeared: Waldemar Dąbrowski, former Minister of Culture and National Heritage, today General Director of Teatr Wielki-Opera Narodowa (Teatr Wielki – Polish National Opera); Andrzej Prusiewicz, architect of Opera Nova (The Nova Opera); Paweł Dobrzycki, prominent Polish set designer and theatre directors, critics and theatre theoreticians.
Catalogue, poster and leaflet for exhibition in Poland were prepared by Grzegorz Laszuk (a law graduate, owner of the studio Książki+Strony (Books+Pages), works out the book designs, posters and trademarks).
