The building of the Slovene National Theatre is organised inside a framed block of houses, along the axis of the existing pathway. I divided the theatre into units according to the functions, and strung them with an open-roof passage. The wings looking to the street became office-blocks, then follow the foyers and opposite to them, the theatres. The intimate theatre and the main stage have a shared service wing, while the middle box gives the place for the actors and workshops. The look of the new building is identified by the walls covered with vegetation and the extensive green roof. I overlaid the remaining surfaces with a glass skin. The building, together with the public park inside the block of houses, creates a patchwork-like texture, which is also interwoven in function.
