Workshops of Parma’s Teatro Regio are situated in an industrial complex on the outskirts of Parma inside ferroconcrete halls built in the 2nd half of the 20th century. The structures are supported by concrete pillars and are covered by mildly sloping roofs with openings for skylight. The brick facades display stripes of horizontal and vertical openings. The interior is home to large paint shops, a carpenter shop, a blacksmith shop and – in a smaller space – even a tailor shop. Sceneries are stored in a large ferroconcrete hall next to the shops, in steel containers or otherwise. The hall is accessible to trucks. Other sceneries are stored in containers in the exterior.

Teatro Regio offers guided tours of its shops and runs practical workshops whose participants learn to paint on canvas using various scenography techniques. Storage-at-hand depots are located directly in Parma’s Teatro Regio building.
